Soft buttery homemade biscuits

By:

Ingredients
  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter, cold
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°
  • Step 2 In a large bowl, add flour, salt and baking powder, stir until combined.
  • Step 3 Cut cold butter into small pieces and add to dry mixer. With a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the butter until the butter and dry mixer forms pea sized crumbles.
  • Step 4 Add milk and stir with wooden spoon or spatula until combined (don’t over work the dough).
  • Step 5 Transfer biscuit dough to flour surface and gently work with hands until dough comes together. If dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  • Step 6 Flatten dough with hands until it is about 1 inch thick.
  • Step 7 With a lightly floured biscuit cutter, cut dough and transfer to baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Step 8 Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until top is lightly golden brown.
  • Step 9 If desired, brush warm biscuits with butter.
  • Step 10 Best served warm. Store leftovers in an air tight container for up to 3 days.
