Sausage Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 5 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Step 1 In a large frying pan or cast iron skillet add breakfast sausage and cook over medium heat until sausage is browned.
- Step 2 Add 3 Tbsp of flour to the sausage and pan dripping. Cook for about 2 minutes until flour coats the sausage. Add the remaining flour and cook for another minute.
- Step 3 Slowly add the milk to the skillet and stir to combine the sausage flour mixture to the milk.
- Step 4 Add seasoning salt and pepper, stir
- Step 5 Cook over medium until thickened, about 10 minutes
