Campfire Lasagna Pasta is a delicious one pot campfire meal made over the fire. The is a easy meal to enjoy while camping that everyone will rave about. This campfire lasagna has all the flavor of a traditional lasagna but made to be a one pot meal that is simple to make and just as delicious… maybe even more because it’s made over the fire.
Campfire Lasagna Pasta
One pot campfire pasta
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup white onion, chopped
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb noodles, any shape
- 32 oz chicken broth
- 24 oz jarred marinara sauce
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1/2 TBSP Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
- Grated parmesan, optional
Directions
- Step 1 In a cast iron Dutch oven add olive oil to pan.
- Step 2 Place Dutch oven or skillet over campfire or on stove top. Heat oil and added ground beef and onion.
- Step 3 Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 4 Cook ground beef until brown, drain oil
- Step 5 Add minced garlic and cook about a minute, make sure not to burn.
- Step 6 Add noodles, chicken broth, marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, stir.
- Step 7 Cover and stir every 10 minutes until pasta is cooked. It will take about 30 minutes depending on how hot the fire is, I like to have it about 400° or over medium heat if cooking on the stove.
- Step 8 Add cream cheese and stir until melted and combined with pasta.
- Step 9 Serve and add parmesan, if desired
